Q. Who is Mr. Smarty Plants?

A: There are those who suspect Wildflower Center volunteers are the culpable and capable culprits. Yet, others think staff members play some, albeit small, role. You can torture us with your plant questions, but we will never reveal the Green Guru's secret identity.

Title: Definition of "Weed Laws"
Answered by: Sage Kawecki

QUESTION:

What are weed laws?

ANSWER:

The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) has a wonderful website on Weed Laws and follows some important cases where people have gone to trial on behalf of natural landscapes. The EPA defines a Weed Law as any federal, state, county and local, statute, regulation or ordinance which limits the type or size of vegetation which grows or is cultivated on land within the jurisdiction.
