About how many plant species are there in Maryland?ANSWER:
For the total number of plants in Maryland, the USDA Plants Database lists 5108 taxa. This number includes both native and introduced species. According to the USDA Plants Database there are 3080 plant species in Maryland that are classified as native to the contiguous 48 states of the United States.
