Habitat: Full sun. In bed of dried up pond. Alkaline (caliche), alluvial soil.
Description: Taprooted annual, 70 cm tall. Herbages not armed. Leaves alternate, long petiolate, as broad as long, irregularly toothed. Pistillate heads in intermediate axils; staminate heads in terminal axils. Fruit not present.
