Location: 1.25 km east of Hwy 281 & 1 block north of Thousand Oaks, corner of Ledge Sage and Ledge View streets.Latitude: 0.000000
Habitat: Nearly level, vacant, undisturbed land. Thin, rocky soil. A few Quercus and Diospyros trees.
Description: Erect perennial about 40 cm tall. Roots--rhizomes. Stems and leaves covered with very short hairs. Leaves oblong-lanceolate, 3-7 cm long, about 1/6 as wide. Petiole to 3 cm. Hypanthium 1.5 cm long. Sepals 3 cm long w/free tips. Petals-4, white, fading to pink-reddish.
