Abstract
Researches the effects of wet-season fire on the growth of Zamia pumila. Fire caused minimal mortality and generally promoted the flushing of new leaves. Seeds within cones were killed but female cone production increased in some circumstances. Herbivore damage was severe and significantly greater in burned plot. Burning earlier in the wet season resulted in overall increase in growth; however, burning later in the wet season did not.Suggested Citation
