Abstract
Evaluates the effects of burning frequency and season on the flowering and fruiting of Serenoa repens. The study was conducted for two years in 32 pine flatwoods sites. While burns resulted in intermediate flowering over two years, while growing season burns resulted in high levels of flowering the first year followed by lower levels of flowering the second year. Sites that were frequently burned (2-3 years) had lower fruit production than sites less frequently burned (at least five years).Suggested Citation
