Abstract
Evaluates the role of maternally inherited cytoplasmic genes and nuclear genes in the local adaptation of Chameacrista fasciculata. Hybrid plants were created from a Maryland and an Illinois population and planted in sites native to each population. The effects of nuclear and cytoplasmic components on C. fasciculata fitness varied across sites and years.Suggested Citation
