Fruit: Achenes arranged in globose heads with curvate pappi bearing golden (when mature), plumose trichomes. Fruit mature Jun-Oct.

Distribution
USA: GA , TNNative Distribution: In the Ocoee River Gorge and near the Hiwassee River in southeastern TN and in Murray County in northern GA.
